Write down your departure and arrival stations

Use the station names you intend to travel between. If a city has more than one station, confirm which one works for your journey before accepting a booking.

Choose a date and note any flexibility

Keep your intended travel date clear. If you can travel on a different day, mention that in your inquiry so the options can be discussed separately.

List everyone travelling

Count adults and children separately and keep the children’s actual ages available. Ask for the applicable passenger category to be confirmed instead of assuming a concession.

Decide what matters to you

Think about your preferred departure time, seating or sleeping accommodation, and budget. Availability and prices need to be checked for your specific journey.

Review the quote before approving

Read the route, date, passenger count, accommodation and full quoted total together. A journey inquiry is the start of the conversation; it is not a confirmed ticket.
